Digital Life affiliated to the national PIT

02-06-2023

On June 1, 2023, 12 lectors from higher-education institutions met, united in the lectorate platform ‘PIT’ which includes a Platform for Deployment of Technology for Health and Care. The Digital Life research group is also affiliated with this national platform, and this time researcher Lamia Elloumi attended as a delegate.

Digital healthcare

PIT aims to contribute to the sustainable implementation of technological innovations in health and welfare. Research, education and the field must work together in a goal-oriented way to shape a new practice in which technology is applied. PIT therefore emphatically focuses not only on practice-based research in and with the field, but also on cooperation in education and continuing education in the field of digital care.

Health by tech

This kick-off meeting took place during the ‘Supporting Health by Technology’ conference in Enschede. There appeared to be much enthusiasm among the attendees to join forces on the implementation of healthcare technology in the coming years. Some key focus areas that were specifically mentioned were: health literacy, MDR (Medical Device Regulation), education and methodologies.

In short, PIT is important in healthcare!
