Aduén Darriba as artist in residence at Microsoft Research in Redmond, V.S.

Aduén Darriba Frederiks, researcher in the Create-IT Digital Life Centre will work as an artist in residence at Microsoft Research in Redmond, WA in the USA for a period of six months starting June 1st 2015. He is invited by Asta Roseway and will join her research team that focuses on Affective Computing and Interactive Digital Media.
Aduén forms a bridge between research and interactive art. In close cooperation with the Microsoft researchers, studies are carried out on practical applications of the lab-research as well as dissemination and media coverage. He will work on projects comparable to Gigapixelartzoom, PhotoSynth and the Tweetdress. One of the more ambitious plans is an exposition at MoMA.
Currently Aduén works on the COMMIT/ projects ‘Tasst’ en 'Internet of Touch' In the Digital Life Centre of the HvA University of Applied Science. More info on his earlier projects on http://www.aduen.nl/
After he is back Aduén will contribute to the programs of Informatics, Communication and Media Design and the Amsterdam Fashion Institute.
