Muscles2Meet

In the context of this PhD, Anne Marleen Olthof attended Muscles2Meet 2022 on 10 and 11 June , a biennial symposium for PhD students working on neuromuscular diseases in the Netherlands.

In a short time she got to know a very inspiring group of lab and clinical PhD researchers from LUMC, Amsterdam UMC, Erasmus MC and Radboud MC. This may lead to further collaboration during her PhD. Muscles2Meet is an initiative of the Princess Beatrix Muscle Fund, in collaboration with the Spier Diseases Centre of the Netherlands.

Anne Marleen took part in various interesting lectures, for example about:

Princess Beatrix Spierfonds

For Anne Marleen Olthof, this was her first symposium as a PhD researcher, to which she attached great importance from a personal point of view. She herself says: 'It was important for me to reconnect with my personal history with the Princess Beatrix Fund and to be on the same page with PhD students and Princess Beatrix.'
